Remote Support - Instructions

AA Mac can now offer remote support to any computer with a broadband connection using free software that allows us to connect to your screen over the internet. The following guide will show you how to download and configure the free AA Mac Support Tool on your machine.

Please note -This service is for Mac OS X 10.3 and above only.If you have any doubts about what system you have, please call us and we will help determine the system you have.

Charges For This Service
Remote support is charged at the same rate as telephone support;
Contract customers are entitled to the service as part of their contract;
Support-Pack customers are allowed 15 minutes free, per issue, after
which they time will be taken off the contract in half hour increments;
Ad-hoc customers and new customers will be asked to call our
premium rate technical support number (60p per minute) for the duration
of the support session.

Step 1
Click on the green and black AA Mac Remote Support Tool icon at the bottom of the page to download the Support Software.

Step 2
A disk image of the AA Mac Support Tool will download to the desktop (or wherever you have designated files to download to.) Double click the disk image to mount (open) it.

Step 3
A window will open showing the contents of the disk image. Double click the AA Mac Support Tool application to open it.

Step 4
In the AA Mac Support Tool window click the connect button as shown.

Complete
A connection invitation has been sent to AA Mac to allow us to connect to your screen.

Disconnecting
To end the session at any time simply quit the AA Mac Support Tool. This will disconnect the engineer from your machine.
